- Stories must honor the lived experiences they represent.
2. Accuracy & Integrity
- Submissions must be truthful and fact-checked where applicable.
- Clearly distinguish between fact, opinion, and personal reflection.
- Do not misrepresent or sensationalize events.
3. Originality & Attribution
- Content must be original or properly credited.
- Plagiarism, copied material, or unlicensed use of third-party content is prohibited.
- Always cite sources when referencing published works or social media posts.
4. Privacy Protection
- Do not share sensitive personal details without consent.
- Protect identities when stories involve vulnerable individuals.
- Respect confidentiality in family and community narratives.
5. Content Relevance
- Submissions must align with Standing Stories’ themes:
- True lived experiences
- Family drama and emotional narratives
- Voices after 45
- Breaking news and daily reflections
- Off-topic, promotional, or spam content will be removed.
6. Safety & Responsibility
- Do not post violent, unlawful, or harmful material.
- Content must contribute positively to community understanding.
- Avoid triggering or exploitative storytelling.
7. Moderation & Enforcement
- Moderators may edit, remove, or restrict content that violates these guidelines.
- Repeat violations may result in account suspension or permanent bans.
- Standing Stories reserves the right to refuse publication of any submission.
